i60 Schools exists to build a positive relationship with young people while meeting needs relevant to their lives, imparting a passion for life and empowering them with practical tools to maximise their potential. The i60 Schools team is made up of enthusiastic and experienced volunteers who actively serve the local community.’
Breaky Club – We currently run breakfasts at Lilydale High School, Yarra Hills Mt Evelyn and Yarra Hills Mooroolbark. Through these breakfasts we serve the most important meal of the day to over 350 students, while giving them the opportunity to connect and engage with young adult role models.
i60 Mentoring – We aim to create lasting mentoring relationships with high school students in our local area. All mentors are trained and provided with ongoing support. Mentoring has proven to reduce at-risk behaviors in young people, assist with academic focus while bringing a sense of community and belonging. Our mentors aim to build resilience while helping to guide a young person to become the best that they can be.
Schools Tour – is a once a year seminar that we roll out to over 30 local schools, providing a fun and engaging message relevant to youth in our immediate area. This year the Schools Tour dates are August 3-7 & August 10-14. Our topic will be around mental health, depression and anxiety.
